No. As long as you are 18 or over and have an interest in broadening your knowledge on how technology will shape our lives, and willingness to understand how important female leadership will be in this process, you are eligible to apply. For example, if you have finished your bachelor’s and at the moment you are not formally enrolled in a university programme because you have an internship or are taking a break, you can still apply.

What happens if I am selected?

Congratulations! If our distinguished Jury considers that you are the most suitable candidate from your country to participate in the Summer programme, you will receive a full scholarship that will cover everything needed for you to attend, including travel to Spain and back home; accommodation, transportation and meals in Spain; conference materials and any other important elements, such as Covid-19 tests.
Once you receive this good news and accept to join the programme, you will be contacted by an agent to proceed with your travel arrangements. You will also receive a participants’ kit with all the information you will need to prepare for your trip.

How will my application be judged?

Our judges will be looking for well-rounded candidates. This means they will be reviewing your academic achievements, but also your interests and achievements outside of the classroom, including work experience and voluntary work. On top of that, one of the most important elements of the application will be your motivation statement – so make sure to spend some time writing a strong one!

When will I know if I have been selected?

All applicants will receive an email from us by late April 2022. The email will let you know whether or not you have been selected to join the programme.

How much does the programme cost?

Nothing! Participation is free and indeed, all the participants will receive a full scholarship to attend. This is a core pillar of our equal opportunities policy, and a key part of our ongoing efforts to make sure that no one is left behind in the digital era.

Who will be teaching the courses?

Because our programme is unique, we have been able to attract numerous top-level professors and business professionals, policymakers and thought leaders from across Europe to be your teachers and mentors. New lecturers are announced every week!

What is in it for me?

Besides getting the chance to spend a full working week in an international environment, networking with top global leaders and learning from their experiences in business, politics, media and beyond, at the end of the programme you will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion from HUAWEI EU. This certificate will provide your future employers with an overview of the courses that you have taken, and of the key competencies that you have acquired throughout the Summer School, such as Leadership, Coding and Public Speaking.
