Laura Resteghini

Senior Microwave Antenna Engineer, Huawei

Laura Resteghini received the M.Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information technology from the Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, in 2009 and 2014, respectively.,Then, she joined the Propagation Research Group at the Politecnico di Milano, Milan, as a Researcher in the field of adaptively controlled antennas system. Her experience grew across research on EM wave propagation through the atmosphere at radio frequencies: physical and statistical modeling for EM propagation applications, also implementing optimization strategies for fade mitigation techniques in Satcom systems. Since 2014, she has been involved in several projects related to 5G NR networks, focusing on the design of prototypes and antenna modeling for mmWave bands. In 2016, she joined the Huawei Milan Research Centre, Milan, as a Senior Microwave Antenna Engineer. Her main research activity is on the synthesis and design of unconventional antenna arrays for 5G mmWave base stations. She is coordinating the sub-terahertz working group created in the framework of the joint lab between Huawei and Politecnico di Milano.
