Romana Kmetová

Air Traffic Controller, Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic

Romana Kmetová has a miscellaneous background in the field of aviation, with experience in various roles. With a Master's degree from the Czech Technical University in Prague, she acquired a strong educational foundation in technical and engineering aspects. Throughout her academic journey, she actively sought opportunities to enhance her knowledge and experiences in a dynamic aviation industry. She had the privilege of working with prominent organizations such as GE Aviation Czech, Technology Centre ERA, TimeAir, Smartwings, the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, the Czech Technical University in Prague, and also Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic. Her career for Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic initially started in a position as a remote operator pilot, which gave her valuable insights into the practical aspects of aviation. As her career progressed, she actively participated in various projects, including the Multi-Touch Inputs and Voice Recognition project for SESAR. She successfully completed training to become an Air Traffic Controller, a position she currently holds. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of air traffic flow. Moreover, she has been actively involved in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and Human Factors/Team Resource Management (HUM/TRM). With extensive industry experience and a passion for aviation, she is committed to making a positive impact in the field of aviation.
