Angela Stathi

Expert Advisor, The European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA); Chair, NED

Angela is an Independent Advisor and Non-Executive Director (Chair) for large corporates, tech-scale-ups and multilaterals in the fields of finance, youth, sustainability, environment, energy, technology and health inter alia: Digital Boost, the European Commission's European Innovation Council (EIC), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), The Greek House Davos, the Founder Institute, the Learning Fund and GLG. 

Angela has experience in helping companies grow teams, revenues and global operations. She spent most of her executive career working for large financial services and technology companies (Schroders and BNP Paribas/FFTW, Moody’s, Fitch) in global strategy, product, and operations roles where she worked with the Executive Board and the senior leadership team to build departments and teams, work on transformational projects and product innovation. 

With her deep passion to help transform people’s lives and economies, during her Executive MBA, Angela ventured a tech business, co-Founded Global Tech Connect and became the CEO of Reload Greece Foundation a business tech accelerator that helped entrepreneurs bring ideas to market. In these roles, Angela partnered with VCs, philanthropists, the private and public sectors to help startups raise £20m+ investments and create 400+ new jobs.

As a spokesperson, Angela is often invited to speak at international forums in front of the public, governments, and media. As a corporate trainer and writer, Angela often designs and delivers trainings and articles on organisational development, corporate social and environmental impact, corporate governance, entrepreneurship, product innovation and growth.

She is an Executive MBA graduate from London Business School, a Rising Women Leaders scholar from Cambridge Judge Business School, a Luma Certified Practioner in Human-Center Design Thinking and a Financial Times Non-Executive Director Postgraduate Diploma holder.

Born in Brazil to Greek parents, Angela is a British, Brazilian, and Greek national with experience working in multiple countries, continents, and cultures. She is fluent in 4 languages including English, French, Portuguese and Greek and has a good understanding of multicultural dynamics.

Throughout her career, Angela championed Diversity Equity and Inclusion as she believes diverse teams are more effective to deliver a company’s strategy as they bring different insights that are attuned to the diverse communities that we all live in. Angela is a Founding Member of Chief in the UK. Chief is a private network built to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there. Founded in 2019 with a mission to change the face of leadership, Chief is now a $1.1 billion unicorn. In 2021,  2022 and 2023, Angela was elected as a UK Delegate to the UN at the 65, 66 and 67th Commission on the Status of Women.
