Maria Daniel Loureiro

Intelligence Analyst, DG HERA, European Commission

Maria Daniel Loureiro is an Intelligence Analyst at the Intelligence Gathering, Analysis and Innovation unit of DG HERA in the European Commission. In her role, Maria contributes to the development of ATHINA - Advanced Technology for Health Intelligence and Action IT System, while also being a member of the Environmental Threats team.

Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, as well as a Medical Degree from the University of Porto and a Master's degree in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics.

Currently, Maria is pursuing a PhD in Health Data Science from the University of Porto. Her research focuses on analyzing the impact of extreme heat on cardiovascular mortality.
