Mónica Sánchez Soliva
Head of Competition Policy, Telefónica, S.A. (Madrid)
Leading Competition Policy and working as competition counsel in the Public Policy, Competition and Regulatory Affairs area at Telefónica, S.A. In this function, her work is focused on the analysis and impact of EU Competition politics and regulation on Telefónica’s operating business, as well as the lobby actions and advocacy on EU affairs and with the different European authorities. This work is also developed through different sectorial and cross-sectorial associations. Likewise giving support to Telefónica’s operating businesses in Latin America on Competition Policy. On the legal side, her work is focused on legal antitrust matters covering M&A transactions, advice on competition law issues and antitrust compliance program.
Mónica joined Telefónica, S.A. in 2016 as an antitrust lawyer. Previously, she worked in an internship in Telefónica de España, S.A. as a legal counsel, particularly in the commercial and public contracting area, judicial matters (civil, criminal, contentious-administrative cases), telecoms regulation area and compliance.
