Four #NextGenChange- Makers make youth’s voices heard in Brussels

on 29/04/2022

The Schools for Female Leadership in the Digital Age empower young women to shape our common future.

This week, four alumnae from the 2022 Winter School got to do just that. Nanna (Denmark), Catriona (Ireland), Cecilia (The Netherlands) and Laura (Germany) spent an intense week in Brussels, finishing their policy brief on improving digital skills development and raising awareness on mental health throughout Europe.

Determined to make a positive impact at the very heart of the EU, our aspiring leaders met with members of the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Council, as well as with the women shaping Brussels from within the capital’s business and media scenes. They discussed Europe’s quest for real and effective equality, young people’s role in the future of the continent, and the challenges facing our digital society.

The result: A series of lively debates that brought the youth’s priorities to the center of the EU policymaking horizon.
