General Board member and Policy Advisor on Climate Change (INLW), Gender Equality and Advisor & Co-chair, Climate justice working group, W7 (G7)

My mission: "Fight for the things that we have to care about, do it in a way that will lead others to join you". I focus on many issues facing women and girls rights and humanity around the world.
She was born in Aruba, Oranjestad (The Dutch Caribbean) and has lived in the Netherlands for about 35 years now. At the moment she works at the Dutch Water Authority as an Advocacy advisor and project leader, were she has followed several higher professional educations as Information management (IT) and Water management.
She also is a volunteer General Board member of the International Network of Liberal Women. She writes policy notes, amendments, statements and resolutions about women's and girls' rights, Gender (in)equality, Climate Change and Human Rights. Furthermore she is a NGO delegate for INLW at the UN, UNECE and member of the EU Committee FEMM on 'Rights of Women and Gender Equality'.
She recently worked with the Women 7 as Advisor, Co-chair Climate Justice working group towards the G7 Presidency and wrote together with the other W7 Advisors on the Women 7 Communiqué "Time To Deliver On A Gender Just Future" and Women7 Implementation for the G7 Presidency June 2022.
She also worked with the Women and Gender Constituency and wrote the topic "Ensure rights to water and sanitation in all climate action" for the COP26 in Glasgow and for the COP27 in Egypt "Bring in Women to break the Plastic Litter Pollutions".
She also worked with the Network UN Women's Convention / Dutch CEDAW network and participated in writing for the topic 'Women's Rights beyond Gender Neutrality: in Word's and in Actions'.
She also worked with the UNECE Water Convention, Taskforce working group on Water and Climate Change and wrote three topics including Gender issues, Poverty and Inequality and Consultation and participation and ensured that these were included in the document: Word into Action Guidelines: Implementation Guide for Addressing Water-Related Disasters and Transboundary Cooperation: "Integrating disaster risk management with water management and climate change adaptation".
At present she is working on several projects such as on circular economy, sustainable development and migration and security (IT) and for the prepartion for the UN 2023 Water Conference she will be working on water & sanitation, agriculture (biodiversity), drought for a sustainable world.
In the coming years she will continue to work to improve the position of women and girls in the Netherlands, Europe and the rest of the world by shaping cultural trends and promoting various social causes!
