Over five days, the Winter School for Female Leadership in the Digital Age gathered numerous world-class leaders from around the EU and beyond, to teach and mentor our students. They joined us to share their ideas, debate the current state of global affairs and the shared challenges ahead, and brainstorm about how, together, we can shape a thriving digital future for Europe.
When you apply, your entry is reviewed by a team of experts — a distinguished jury composed of Members of the European Parliament, former EU Commissioners, professors, business executives, journalists and equality advocates from all 27 EU Member States and from 'Western Balkans 6'. We are as passionate about their involvement in the selection process as they are about the environment that we are creating for you: an inspiring space where you can bond, network, and support each other, following the European spirit of cooperation and solidarity.
Each and every one of our students had a key role to play at the School. They were not only there to learn and make new friends: they brought their unique perspective as future leaders, and shared their experiences as young women willing to make a difference.
The week-long programme enabled them to create everlasting connections, grow personally and professionally, and dive into both the future of technology and the local culture. In their own words:
The 2022 Winter School for Female Leadership in the Digital Age took place from 21st to 25th February in Nice, France. Its 28 participants, one from each EU Member State and, for the first time, one representing the 'Western Balkans 6', were selected by an independent jury from among the 2,426 registered applicants from all over Europe. They took part in a week-long programme of masterclasses, team projects, active learning, open debates and cultural experiences.
